A new york state born free American African man who was kid napped in washington, D.C., in 1841 and sold into slavory. He worked on plantations in the state of Louisiana for 12 years before his realise. the first scholarly ideation of Nothup's memoir co-edeted in 1968 by Sue Eakin & Joseph Logsdon.
